Quality Manager

About the role

Amentum is seeking an experienced Quality Manager to support a critical U.S. Navy program on Diego Garcia. The role involves leading the implementation and enforcement of the contractor’s Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure strict compliance with contract requirements and industry standards.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and enforce the QMS across all project facets, ensuring compliance with contract policies and best practices.
• Maintain on‑site presence during government working hours and be available within two hours after hours when required.
• Oversee quality audits, inspections, and evaluations to verify adherence to QMS procedures and ISO standards.
• Collaborate with project teams to identify non‑conformances and implement corrective actions.
• Report directly to senior corporate officials, preparing detailed quality assurance reports.
• Lead and mentor the quality team, guiding them on inspection protocols and QMS compliance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Civil, Industrial, Electrical, Mechanical) or a related scientific field from an accredited institution.
• Current Certified Manager of Quality/Organizational Excellence (CMQ/OE) certification or equivalent.
• Minimum five years of experience developing and enforcing QMS programs on large, complex contracts.
• Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary teams in a high‑stakes environment.
• Strong knowledge of ISO standards and best practices for QMS implementation.
