Plumber for US Navy wastewater program

About the role

Amentum is seeking a qualified Plumber to support a US Navy program on Diego Garcia. The role focuses on operating, maintaining, and repairing wastewater and sewage pump systems in a remote OCONUS environment.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and maintain wastewater facilities and submersible sewage pumps to meet operational standards.
• Perform inspections, troubleshoot, and repair plumbing systems, including water, gas, and sewage lines.
• Read blueprints, layouts, and technical manuals to ensure correct installation and repairs.
• Document all inspections, repairs, and maintenance activities for regulatory compliance.
• Coordinate with supervisors and team members during emergencies and routine operations.

Required profile

• Minimum three years experience with submersible sewage or wastewater pumps.
• Journeyman‑level plumbing certification.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid passport (minimum one year) and ability to obtain required visas and security clearances.
• Ability to meet medical, security, and deployment requirements for a remote overseas location.
