Photocopier Technician

About the role

Amentum is seeking a Photocopier Technician to support a U.S. Navy program on Diego Garcia. The role involves inspecting, maintaining, and repairing photocopy equipment to ensure operational readiness in a remote overseas environment.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections, cleaning, maintenance, and functional testing of photocopy machines.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical malfunctions, replace worn components such as gears, rollers, belts, and electronic circuits.
• Conduct preventive maintenance according to manufacturer specifications and maintain inventories of consumables and spare parts.
• Document all service activities and respond quickly to service requests to minimize equipment downtime.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum two years of experience inspecting, maintaining, and repairing photocopiers or similar office equipment.
• Valid passport with at least one year remaining and ability to obtain required visas and security clearances.
• Ability to work in austere OCONUS conditions and meet medical and deployment requirements.

Required skills

• Mechanical diagnostics and repair of photocopier components.
• Electrical troubleshooting and circuit repair.
• Preventive maintenance procedures for commercial photocopiers.
• Reading and interpreting technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and service documentation.
