Material Expeditor

About the role

Amentum is seeking a Material Expeditor to support a US Navy program on Diego Garcia. The role ensures timely delivery of materials, tools, and supplies needed for operational support.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and expedite the flow of materials, tools, and supplies across departments.
• Track shipments, verify material requests, and maintain accurate inventory records.
• Communicate with suppliers, vendors, and internal teams to resolve delays or shortages.
• Inspect shipments for condition and compliance, reporting damaged items.
• Prepare reports on material usage, delivery timelines, and inventory levels.

Required profile

• Two years of experience in material handling, expediting, or supply chain operations.
• High school diploma or equivalent and a valid passport with at least one year remaining.
• Ability to obtain required visas and meet contract medical and physical readiness standards.
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with inventory tracking software or ERP systems.
• Familiarity with logistics, procurement, and warehousing principles.
