About the role
Amentum is seeking a Manager to lead Jake’s Place, a dining, recreation and entertainment facility supporting a US Navy program on Diego Garcia. The role ensures high‑quality service, operational efficiency and compliance with military and contract standards.
Key responsibilities
- Plan, organize and execute daily operations for dining, beverage, recreation and entertainment services.
- Develop and enforce operational policies, procedures and best practices to meet contract requirements.
- Supervise, train and mentor staff to deliver excellent customer service.
- Monitor customer satisfaction and continuously improve offerings.
- Oversee financial performance, budgeting, cost control and resource allocation.
- Manage inventory of food, beverages, supplies and equipment.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, sanitation and environmental standards.
- Coordinate events with government representatives and respond to emergencies within one hour of notification.
- Maintain accurate records and reports for audits and reviews.
- Promote activities and services through appropriate media channels.
Required profile
- Four‑year degree in business management, food, hospitality or a related field, OR at least three years of relevant experience.
- Proven experience managing food, beverage and recreation operations.
- Ability to lead and develop a diverse team.
- Strong organizational and financial management skills.
- Willingness to be on‑site and available during regular working hours and for emergencies.
