Jake’s Place Operations Manager (Diego Garcia)

About the role

Amentum is seeking a Manager to lead Jake’s Place, a dining, recreation and entertainment facility supporting a US Navy program on Diego Garcia. The role ensures high‑quality service, operational efficiency and compliance with military and contract standards.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, organize and execute daily operations for dining, beverage, recreation and entertainment services.
• Develop and enforce operational policies, procedures and best practices to meet contract requirements.
• Supervise, train and mentor staff to deliver excellent customer service.
• Monitor customer satisfaction and continuously improve offerings.
• Oversee financial performance, budgeting, cost control and resource allocation.
• Manage inventory of food, beverages, supplies and equipment.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, sanitation and environmental standards.
• Coordinate events with government representatives and respond to emergencies within one hour of notification.
• Maintain accurate records and reports for audits and reviews.
• Promote activities and services through appropriate media channels.

Required profile

• Four‑year degree in business management, food, hospitality or a related field, OR at least three years of relevant experience.
• Proven experience managing food, beverage and recreation operations.
• Ability to lead and develop a diverse team.
• Strong organizational and financial management skills.
• Willingness to be on‑site and available during regular working hours and for emergencies.
