HVAC Master Technician (US Navy Program)

About the role

The HVAC Master Technician will serve as key personnel on a unique U.S. Navy program located on Diego Garcia. The role involves ensuring optimal performance, safety, and compliance of large‑scale HVAC systems supporting critical infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and repair chilled water and Direct Expansion (DX) centralized air‑conditioning plant equipment.
• Support Variable Air Volume (VAV) and Constant Volume air‑distribution systems of 100 tons capacity or greater.
• Conduct inspections, fault diagnosis, testing, and preventive maintenance of HVAC systems.
• Troubleshoot and implement repairs to meet safety and regulatory standards.
• Assist in planning and scheduling maintenance activities.
• Document inspections, test results, maintenance actions, and repairs per regulatory requirements.
• Supervise and provide technical guidance to team members.
• Ensure compliance with environmental safety regulations and proper refrigerant handling.

Required profile

• Valid U.S. HVAC Master License.
• Minimum five (5) years experience with chilled water and DX‑type centralized air‑conditioning equipment, VAV and constant‑volume systems.
• Completion of Refrigeration and Air‑conditioning Servicing National Certification Level III (RAC NC III) or equivalent.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid passport (minimum one‑year validity) and ability to travel internationally.
• Pass contract medical requirements and maintain them throughout deployment.
