HVAC Master Technician – US Navy Program (Diego Garcia)

About the role

Amentum is seeking an experienced HVAC Master Technician to support a critical US Navy program on the island of Diego Garcia. The role involves ensuring optimal performance of large‑scale chilled water and DX air‑conditioning plants in a demanding, austere environment.

Key responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, repair, and testing of chilled water and Direct Expansion (DX) centralized air‑conditioning equipment.
• Support Variable Air Volume (VAV) and Constant Volume air‑distribution systems of 100 tons or greater.
• Conduct inspections, fault diagnosis, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting.
• Document inspections, test results, maintenance actions, and repairs per regulatory standards.
• Supervise and provide technical guidance to team members.
• Ensure compliance with environmental safety regulations and proper refrigerant handling.

Required profile

• Valid U.S. HVAC Master License.
• Minimum five years of experience with chilled water and DX‑type HVAC plant equipment.
• Completion of Refrigeration and Air‑conditioning Servicing National Certification Level III (RAC NC III) or equivalent.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid passport (minimum one‑year validity) and ability to travel internationally.
• Ability to pass contract medical requirements.
