Dynamometer Operator – US Navy Program

About the role

Amentum is seeking a qualified Dynamometer Operator to support a unique US Navy program based on the island of Diego Garcia. The role involves operating, maintaining, and ensuring safe use of a dynamometer system in line with organizational goals and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Operate all aspects of the dynamometer system according to operational guidelines and procedures.
• Perform routine setup, calibration, and maintenance to maximize efficiency.
• Monitor system parameters to meet testing and diagnostic requirements.
• Troubleshoot, identify, and report any malfunctions or performance issues.
• Document operational activities, maintenance tasks, and test results in defined reporting systems.
• Ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental regulations during operation and maintenance.

Required profile

• Proven training and qualification in dynamometer system operation.
• Ability to safely and independently operate, monitor, and maintain the equipment.
• Understanding of testing and diagnostic processes related to dynamometer use.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid passport with at least one year of validity and ability to travel internationally.
• Pass contract medical requirements and maintain them for the duration of deployment.
