Dynamometer Operator

About the role

The Dynamometer Operator will support a US Navy program on Diego Garcia, operating and maintaining the dynamometer system to meet testing and diagnostic requirements. This position is with Amentum, a global engineering and professional services firm.

Key responsibilities

• Operate the dynamometer system in accordance with operational guidelines and safety standards.
• Perform setup, calibration, and routine maintenance to ensure optimal performance.
• Monitor system parameters and ensure testing meets defined technical specifications.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and report any malfunctions or performance issues.
• Document operational activities, maintenance actions, and test results in the required reporting systems.
• Maintain compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations during all operations.

Required profile

• Proven training and qualification in dynamometer operation.
• Ability to work independently and safely in an austere OCONUS environment.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid passport with at least one year remaining validity.
• Ability to pass contract medical requirements for the duration of deployment.
