About the role

Amentum is seeking a Dockmaster to lead Syncrolift and transfer system operations for a US Navy program on Diego Garcia. The role ensures safe and efficient dry‑docking and undocking evolutions while complying with all safety and environmental standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead all Syncrolift and transfer system operations in accordance with DGLOCALCOORDINST 3170.1.
• Develop, submit, and obtain approval for Dry Docking/Undocking Plans and Safety Procedures.
• Supervise and coordinate dry‑docking and undocking evolutions, maintaining safety and compliance.
• Maintain on‑island availability or ensure an approved alternate is present at all times.
• Manage, train, and oversee personnel involved in Syncrolift operations.
• Maintain accurate operational records and logs.

Required profile

• Minimum three years of shipyard operations experience with comprehensive dry‑docking knowledge.
• Hands‑on experience with Syncrolift and transfer systems and manufacturer‑provided training.
• Valid passport (minimum one year) and ability to obtain required visas and clearances.
• High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor’s degree preferred.
