Cable and Antenna Systems Specialist – US Navy Program

About the role

We are looking for a Cable and Antenna Systems Specialist to join Amentum’s US Navy program on Diego Garcia. The role involves maintaining, inspecting, repairing and installing a variety of antenna systems to ensure reliable communications for critical operations.

Key responsibilities

• Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on HF and VHF antenna systems, including work aloft on antenna structures.
• Assemble, install and repair antenna hardware and outside‑plant equipment using erection tools.
• Troubleshoot and replace damaged cables, reflectors, waveguides and other RF components.
• Document all work, submit technical reports and follow RF radiation hazard safety guidelines.
• Participate in required RF safety training and ensure compliance with all safety protocols.
• Assess material and tool needs and recommend procurement.
• Coordinate with team members and other departments to deliver efficient maintenance services.

Required profile

• Minimum three (3) years of hands‑on experience with antenna maintenance and repair.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid passport (minimum one‑year validity) and ability to travel internationally.
• Medical fitness to work aloft and pass contract medical requirements.
• Ability to obtain and maintain facility credentials/authorizations.
• Preferred experience in austere OCONUS environments and a valid driver’s license.
