Barber for US Navy Support on Diego Garcia

About the role

Amentum is seeking a professional Barber to provide grooming services for personnel supporting a US Navy program on Diego Garcia. The role involves delivering high‑quality haircuts, shaves and related services in a remote, austere environment.

Key responsibilities

• Perform haircuts, trims, tapering, styling and shaving using clippers, scissors and razors.
• Assess hair and scalp condition, recommend grooming techniques and products.
• Maintain a clean, sanitary workspace in line with Navy and industry standards.
• Manage and maintain grooming equipment and tools.

Required profile

• Minimum six months of barber experience, including military‑style haircuts.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid passport (at least one year beyond hire date) and ability to obtain required visas and security clearances.
• Ability to meet contract medical and deployment requirements.

Required skills

• Hair cutting and styling.
• Beard and mustache trimming.
• Use of clippers, scissors and razors.
