Aerospace Ground Equipment (AGE) Supervisor

About the role

Amentum is seeking an Aerospace Ground Equipment (AGE) Supervisor to lead the maintenance, repair and operation of AGE for a US Navy program on Diego Garcia. The role involves supervising a dedicated team, ensuring equipment meets safety and performance standards, and providing technical expertise.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise daily operations and maintenance of AGE systems covered under the contract.
• Advise, diagnose, and resolve issues to keep equipment within approved guidelines.
• Oversee repair, maintenance, and modification of AGE assets to minimize downtime.
• Implement preventive maintenance schedules and ensure adherence to standards.
• Support troubleshooting of electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems.
• Train and mentor AGE technicians to improve technical skills.
• Manage inventory, tools, equipment, and spare parts availability.
• Monitor and document all maintenance and servicing activities in compliance with record‑keeping standards.
• Develop and enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with environmental and workplace regulations.
• Act as the primary point of contact for AGE‑related queries and communicate with management and stakeholders.

Required profile

• Minimum of four (4) years experience in maintenance, repair, and modification of Aerospace Ground Equipment or similar.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
• Strong technical knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Leadership or supervisory experience in a technical or operational environment.
• Ability to interpret and apply technical manuals and guidelines.
• Strong organizational and time‑management skills.
• Valid passport with at least one year of validity at hire.
• Ability to meet and maintain contract medical requirements for the deployment duration.
