WTP Laboratory QA Manager

About the role

Amentum is seeking a Water Treatment Plant (WTP) Laboratory QA Manager to lead the quality assurance program for a U.S. Navy laboratory located on Diego Garcia. The role operates independently from laboratory management and reports directly to senior leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain the laboratory QA program in line with CNIC M-5090.1A standards.
• Ensure laboratory personnel are proficient in their assigned duties and that all generated data meet QA criteria.
• Conduct internal QA audits, prepare reports, and maintain documentation for regulatory compliance.
• Maintain independence from compliance testing of drinking water and prohibit analysis of compliance samples as part of QA duties.
• Provide on‑site QA oversight at all times and deliver training to staff on QA principles.

Required profile

• Education in chemistry, biology, environmental science, or a related scientific discipline.
• At least one year of experience in quality assurance within a laboratory setting.
• Working knowledge of laboratory analysis processes and testing methods.
• Ability to remain independent from drinking‑water compliance testing.
• Valid passport with minimum one‑year validity and ability to travel internationally.
