Scorekeeper for US Navy MWR Program

About the role

Amentum is seeking a dedicated Scorekeeper to support a US Navy Morale, Welfare & Recreation (MWR) program on Diego Garcia. You will ensure athletic competitions and recreational events run smoothly by providing accurate scorekeeping and timekeeping services.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the official scorekeeper or timekeeper for a variety of sports and recreational activities.
• Accurately record scores, player participation, fouls, penalties, substitutions, and other official statistics.
• Operate electronic scoreboards, game clocks, and timing systems during events.
• Maintain official team rosters and verify player eligibility according to league or event rules.
• Prepare venues before events, including setup, testing, and inspection of all scoring and timing equipment.
• Assist with the setup and breakdown of athletic and recreational activities.
• Provide courteous service to participants, officials, coaches, and spectators while adhering to safety and operational policies.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least two years of experience supporting organized sports, recreational programs, or athletic events.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast‑paced environment.
• Effective communication skills with officials, participants, and spectators.
• Valid passport with the ability to travel internationally and obtain required access credentials.
