POL Facility Maintenance Manager

About the role

Amentum is seeking a POL Facility Maintenance Manager to oversee the maintenance and repair of fuel systems and related infrastructure for a US Navy program on Diego Garcia. The role ensures safe, reliable fuel operations through planning, coordination, and compliance with safety and environmental standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement short‑ and long‑range maintenance plans for fuel systems, storage, transfer infrastructure and related support facilities.
• Inspect and monitor utilities, structures, fire suppression systems, storage tanks, truck refueling stations and other POL‑related areas.
• Create and maintain spill prevention and countermeasure plans, and coordinate rapid response actions.
• Coordinate with contractors, government personnel and other base units such as fire protection, logistics, equipment maintenance, grounds and landscaping.
• Supervise maintenance and repair activities to ensure optimal functionality and compliance with operational, environmental and safety standards.
• Enforce occupational safety and health requirements, including proper use of PPE and hazard reporting.

Required profile

• At least five (5) years of experience coordinating and administering bulk fuel management operations in operational and managerial capacities.
• Strong understanding of spill prevention and countermeasure procedures.
• Ability to work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders and adhere to strict safety regulations.
