Officers Club Manager

About the role

The Officers Club Manager will lead daily operations of the Officers Club supporting a unique US Navy program on Diego Garcia. This role ensures safety, compliance, and an excellent customer experience for officers and guests.

Key responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of club operations, including food and beverage services, customer relations, and event coordination.
• Lead, supervise, and train club staff to meet Navy MWR service standards.
• Maintain compliance with CNICINST 1710.3 regarding hazardous materials handling, storage, and use.
• Ensure all personnel hold current CPR certification and other required safety certifications.
• Monitor cleanliness, organization, and food safety across the facility.
• Develop programs and services that enhance patron satisfaction.
• Oversee inventory, hazardous material records, and supply management.
• Manage financial records, budgets, and revenue targets.
• Communicate with patrons, staff, and stakeholders to resolve concerns and improve services.
• Plan and execute special events, catering, and activities for officers and guests.
• Prepare routine operational and compliance reports.

Required profile

• Minimum two years experience in hospitality, food and beverage management, or facility operations, preferably in a supervisory role.
• Knowledge of Navy MWR operations and CNICINST 1710.3 standards.
• Ability to obtain and maintain certifications: CPR, First Aid, Food Safety and Sanitation, HAZMAT, Alcohol Server Intervention, Customer Service, and Local Emergency Procedures.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid passport and ability to travel.
