NGIS Housekeeper

About the role

Amentum is looking for an NGIS Housekeeper to maintain the cleanliness and functionality of the Navy Gateway Inns and Suites facilities on Diego Garcia. The role supports a US Navy program and requires adherence to Navy standards and certification.

Key responsibilities

• Clean guest rooms, common areas and other NGIS facilities following the Housekeeper and Custodial Certification Manual.
• Perform dusting, vacuuming, sweeping, mopping, trash removal and surface disinfection.
• Restock linens, toiletries and other room amenities.
• Identify areas needing deep cleaning and report maintenance or safety issues.
• Maintain certification from a NEXCOM NGIS Certified Housekeeper Trainer.
• Follow Navy housekeeping procedures and safety protocols.
• Use and maintain cleaning equipment and supplies according to training guidelines.
• Inform supervisors of low supply levels or equipment problems.

Required profile

• Certification as an NGIS Housekeeper obtained through a NEXCOM NGIS Certified Housekeeper Trainer.
• Knowledge of the Housekeeper and Custodial Certification Manual.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow standard operating procedures.
• Effective time management and organizational skills.
• Basic communication skills in English.
• Valid passport for at least one year and ability to obtain required visas.
