Maintenance Analyst

About the role

Amentum is seeking a Maintenance Analyst to support operations on the island of Diego Garcia. The role focuses on analyzing, evaluating, and optimizing maintenance programs to maximize equipment reliability, minimize downtime, and ensure compliance with client and organizational requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct detailed analysis of maintenance programs, schedules, and activities to identify inefficiencies and trends.
• Monitor fleet and equipment performance data to develop strategies for optimizing uptime and reliability.
• Evaluate and recommend adjustments to maintenance plans, schedules, and procedures.
• Develop and maintain maintenance reporting systems, ensuring data accuracy.
• Prepare performance reports, identify trends, and provide data‑driven insights.
• Perform root cause analysis (RCA) for equipment failures and develop corrective and preventive strategies.
• Support predictive and preventive maintenance program implementation and supervision.
• Review equipment history to forecast future maintenance requirements.
• Ensure compliance with maintenance standards, manufacturer specifications, and organizational policies.
• Collaborate with supervisors, technicians, and management to identify training needs and improve workflows.

Required profile

• Minimum three (3) years of experience in maintenance analysis, planning, or related data‑driven roles.
• Knowledge of maintenance processes, reliability concepts, and industry standards.
• Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) or similar tools.
• Proficiency in data analysis and performance reporting.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to pass contract medical requirements and maintain physical readiness.
• Eligibility to obtain and maintain required facility credentials.
