Lead Work Control Center Clerk

About the role

Amentum is seeking a Lead Work Control Center Clerk to support a U.S. Navy program on Diego Garcia. The role leads the Work Control Center, managing daily workflow, task assignments, and administrative operations for maintenance activities.

Key responsibilities

• Receive, review, and process work requests, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and proper coding per Navy and Amentum standards.
• Prioritize and route maintenance tasks to appropriate shops based on urgency, scope, and resource availability.
• Monitor work order status, track progress, and update the maintenance management system in a timely manner.
• Maintain logs, reports, and documentation for work orders, labor hours, materials, and equipment usage.
• Coordinate with supervisors, technicians, and leadership to resolve discrepancies and support operational planning.
• Provide training, guidance, and quality checks for Work Control Center clerks and administrative staff.
• Support scheduling, preventive maintenance planning, and workload forecasting.
• Ensure compliance with safety, security, and environmental procedures related to work control operations.

Required profile

• Minimum two (2) years of experience in maintenance administration, work control, facilities support, or related administrative roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent; additional training in maintenance management, administration, or logistics preferred.
• Valid passport with at least one year validity beyond hire date and ability to obtain required visas.
• Ability to meet contract medical requirements for the deployment duration.
• English reading, speaking, and comprehension sufficient for contract performance and emergency procedures.

Required skills

• Experience with CMMS or maintenance management systems such as Maximo, IWIMS, or similar platforms.
