Aquatics Manager for US Navy Program

About the role

Amentum is seeking an Aquatics Manager to support a unique US Navy program on Diego Garcia. The role oversees aquatic facilities, ensuring safe, high‑quality recreational and fitness programs for the installation.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily operations of aquatic facilities, maintaining safety, cleanliness and water quality.
• Plan, organize and evaluate aquatic, fitness, instructional and community recreation programs.
• Coordinate events, classes and joint community programs, and oversee emergency action plans and rescue equipment readiness.
• Supervise staff, ensure certifications, conduct performance management and promote excellent customer service.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Recreation, Physical Education, Leisure Services or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum three years supervisory experience in aquatics or recreation operations.
• Current American Red Cross CPR certification and valid passport with ability to obtain required visas.
• Ability to pass contract medical requirements and maintain facility credentials.
