WTP Laboratory Director

About the role

Amentum is seeking a Water Treatment Plant (WTP) Laboratory Director to lead laboratory operations for a critical U.S. Navy program on Diego Garcia. The role ensures that all testing, quality assurance, and reporting meet stringent regulatory and program requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of laboratory operations, including testing, QA, and reporting procedures.
• Oversee training, proficiency, and performance of laboratory personnel.
• Implement and maintain QA programs in accordance with CNIC M-5090.1A.
• Review and ensure compliance of laboratory procedures with industry standards and regulations.
• Supervise calibration, operation, and maintenance of laboratory instruments and equipment.
• Validate laboratory reports and data against quality and regulatory standards.
• Prepare documentation, reports, and maintain accurate records.
• Serve as primary contact for regulatory inquiries, audits, and inspections.

Required profile

• Fluent English reading, speaking, and comprehension.
• Valid passport (minimum one year) and ability to obtain required visas.
• Pass contract medical requirements and maintain compliance.
• Professional qualifications in laboratory management or related technical education.
• Demonstrated managerial capability to supervise a laboratory team.
• Strong understanding of QA programs, proficiency testing, and data reporting.
• Familiarity with CNIC M-5090.1A or comparable regulatory frameworks.
• High school diploma or equivalent with advanced technical or academic certification.
