Sight and Sound Supervisor

About the role

The Sight and Sound Supervisor will lead live‑event audio‑visual operations for a U.S. Navy program based on Diego Garcia. Reporting to the program’s AV manager, you will be responsible for the setup, mixing, maintenance and repair of sound and lighting systems to deliver high‑quality event experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Operate live sound mixing consoles to ensure clear, balanced audio during performances and presentations.
• Set up, position and configure lighting rigs and sound equipment according to event specifications.
• Maintain, calibrate and repair sight‑and‑sound systems, performing routine inspections to minimise downtime.
• Detect and resolve audio‑visual quality deviations or equipment malfunctions promptly.
• Collaborate with event coordinators and clients to meet specific AV requirements.
• Train and advise junior technicians on best practices for AV operation.
• Test all equipment before, during and after events to guarantee readiness.

Required profile

• Minimum four (4) years of experience in live sound mixing and AV system maintenance.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Effective communication skills for coordination with event staff.
