NGIS General Manager – Hotel Operations

About the role

Amentum is seeking an NGIS General Manager to lead the Navy Gateway Inns and Suites facilities on Diego Garcia. This senior hospitality role oversees daily hotel operations, ensuring seamless guest experiences and alignment with Navy requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Provide overall leadership for all administrative and operational hotel activities.
• Manage front‑desk services, reservations, room assignments, and guest services.
• Oversee room preparation, facility maintenance, and cleanliness to meet operational standards.
• Control inventory and supplies, ensuring adequate stock and minimizing waste.
• Coordinate reservation systems to maintain accurate room availability.
• Supervise, schedule, and develop hotel staff across front desk, housekeeping, and maintenance.
• Address guest issues promptly, maintaining a customer‑first atmosphere.
• Prepare financial, inventory, and reservation reports for senior management.

Required profile

• Minimum two years of experience managing hotel operations, reservations, and inventory.
• At least one year of college‑level education in hospitality management, business administration, or a related field.
• Proven leadership ability to manage teams and drive operational efficiency.
• Strong communication, problem‑solving, and organizational skills.
