HR Employee Relations Specialist – US Navy Program

About the role

Amentum is looking for an HR Employee Relations Specialist to support a unique US Navy program on the island of Diego Garcia. The role provides comprehensive HR services to an international workforce, handling the full employee lifecycle, investigations, and process improvements.

Key responsibilities

• Administer employee lifecycle actions such as hires, transfers, promotions, terminations and demobilizations.
• Maintain accurate personnel records and HRIS data, ensuring compliance with policies and audit standards.
• Assist with employee‑relations investigations, gather information, document findings and support follow‑up actions.
• Provide guidance on company procedures, workplace expectations and conflict‑resolution processes.
• Support workforce planning, staffing needs and coordinate training programs.
• Develop HR metrics, prepare reports and presentations for leadership.
• Identify and implement process‑improvement initiatives in collaboration with stakeholders.

Required profile

• Valid passport for at least one year at hiring.
• High school diploma or GED; associate degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business or related field preferred.
• Relevant experience in HR administration, employee relations or similar functions.

Required skills

• Proficiency with HR Information Systems (HRIS).
