Facilities Investment Manager

About the role

The Facilities Investment Manager will lead the facilities investment program for a US Navy project on Diego Garcia, ensuring efficient operation, maintenance and development of facilities in line with contract requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the overall facilities investment program, aligning maintenance, repairs and improvements with contractual obligations.
• Plan, coordinate and execute facility investment projects to deliver on time and within budget.
• Develop and implement operational goals and long‑term value enhancement plans for managed facilities.
• Lead multi‑disciplinary teams responsible for facility improvement and maintenance activities.
• Maintain communication with government representatives, contractors and internal stakeholders.
• Provide day‑to‑day oversight during normal government working hours and be available on‑site within two hours for emergencies.
• Ensure compliance with government standards, policies and contract requirements.
• Prepare and present management reports on program performance and recommendations.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years experience in facilities management or a closely related role overseeing multi‑disciplinary environments.
• Proven leadership and team management experience in complex settings.
• Demonstrated ability to plan and execute facilities investment programs meeting operational, financial and strategic objectives.
• Strong knowledge of best practices in facilities management, maintenance and investment strategies, including cost control and project management.
