Cook II – US Navy Program (Diego Garcia)

About the role

We are looking for a Cook II to join Amentum’s US Navy support program on Diego Garcia. The successful candidate will prepare and serve high‑quality, nutritionally balanced meals in a fast‑paced, mission‑critical environment.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare a wide variety of complex menu items, ensuring taste, presentation and nutritional compliance.
• Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and sanitation in all food preparation, storage and service areas.
• Provide courteous service to create a pleasant dining experience for personnel.
• Monitor inventory, identify unavailable items and communicate shortages.
• Complete mandatory food sanitation training (initial four hours and annual refreshers).
• Collaborate with fellow food‑service staff to meet production schedules and quality goals.

Required profile

• Minimum two years of experience preparing and serving diverse, complex meals.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to pass contract medical requirements and maintain required credentials.
• Valid passport (minimum one year) and ability to obtain necessary visas.
• Fluent in English for reading, speaking and comprehension.
