Stationary Engineer for US Navy Program

About the role

Amentum is seeking a Stationary Engineer to support a unique US Navy program on Diego Garcia. The role involves operating, maintaining, and repairing critical stationary equipment to ensure safe and efficient utility services.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and maintain stationary engines, steam boilers, air compressors, generators, chillers, and HVAC systems.
• Monitor equipment performance, conduct daily readings, adjust settings, and troubleshoot issues.
• Perform routine maintenance, cleaning, repairs, and part replacements on mechanical systems.
• Maintain logs and work orders using a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
• Respond to emergencies, make necessary adjustments, and support system upgrades.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of experience with stationary engines, boilers, chillers, and HVAC systems.
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications are a plus.
• Valid passport (minimum 1 year) and ability to obtain required visas.
• Ability to read, speak, and comprehend English for contract and safety procedures.
