Automotive Body Repairer for US Navy Program

About the role

Amentum is seeking an Automotive Body Repairer to support a unique US Navy program on Diego Garcia. The role involves repairing and preparing vehicles to manufacturer standards while ensuring safety and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Repair vehicles according to estimates and manufacturer standards.
• Check parts against estimates, order and receive proper parts.
• Prepare vehicles for body repair work and notify management of additional repairs or issues.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and personal protective equipment in proper condition.
• Comply with all laws, regulations, and safety standards related to paint, hazardous materials, and waste disposal.
• Assist other personnel in vehicle repair and preparation tasks.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED.
• Six months to one year related experience or equivalent training.
• Valid passport (minimum one year) and ability to obtain required visas.
• Ability to pass contract medical requirements and maintain them throughout deployment.
• English reading, speaking, and comprehension sufficient for job duties and emergency procedures.
• Valid country driver’s license.
